Grief Counseling — Phoenix, AZ

Grief doesn't follow a schedule. You don't have to either.

Loss changes everything. Grief counseling gives you a space to feel what you feel — without being rushed, minimized, or told you should be "over it" by now.

A space to grieve without a timeline

Grief is one of the most universal human experiences — and one of the most isolating. Whether you've lost a person, a relationship, a pregnancy, a role, or a version of yourself, grief deserves to be witnessed and honored, not managed away.

We work with all forms of grief, including complicated grief, traumatic loss, and disenfranchised grief (losses that others don't always recognize as "real" — like the end of a friendship, a miscarriage, or the loss of a pet). Using IFS and EMDR, we help you process what's been too painful to sit with alone.

We serve clients in Phoenix, Peoria, Glendale, and Surprise, Arizona, as well as via telehealth in Minnesota, Ohio, and Louisiana.

Common questions about grief counseling

Is there a "right" way to grieve?

No. Grief is not linear and it doesn't follow a set timeline. Some people cry; others feel numb. Some feel relief alongside sadness. Grief counseling creates space for whatever your grief actually looks like — without judgment or a checklist.

What is complicated grief?

Complicated grief (also called prolonged grief disorder) is when grief remains intensely disruptive long after a loss, making it hard to function or move forward. It's more common when a loss was sudden, traumatic, or involved a complicated relationship. Therapy can help.

Can grief counseling help even if the loss happened years ago?

Absolutely. Unprocessed grief doesn't disappear — it often shows up as depression, anxiety, numbness, or relationship difficulties years later. It's never too late to give yourself space to grieve.

Do you offer telehealth grief counseling?

Yes. We offer secure video sessions for clients in Arizona, Minnesota, Ohio, and Louisiana. Grieving from the comfort of your own home is completely valid.
